{I only viewed the bridge while crossing the strait on the ferry from Matsuyama to Kure/ Hiroshima}
(+) Cool red bridge
(+) You can really appreciate its size and structure by passing under it on the ferry. *The SuperJet doesn't allow for expansive views.
(+) All vessels slow down when passing through the narrow strait, so you can get some great pictures and videos.
Beautiful flowers every June, cafe, plenty of parking, easy access to Ondonoseto park.
Good view no pedestrian access. Great helter-skelter on either end to decend.
A giant arched steel bridge with spectacular huge rounded bushes of azaleas
I love the Matsuyama↔Kure↔Hiroshima ferry trip, and have gone back and forth many times.
In particular, you may be riding the ferry because you want to feel the power of passing under Ondo Ohashi Bridge and see the looming scenery on both banks. The stretch between Ondo Ohashi Bridge and Kure Port is quite a spectacle! ?is.
The best way to see it is from the ferry, where you can go up on the deck. There is also a high-speed boat on the same route, but you cannot go out onto the deck, so we recommend a leisurely ferry trip, although it takes three hours each way.
After all, Guru Guru is interesting.
What week? It feels like that.
I never thought it would be so much fun just watching cars go by.
The azalea season is the most beautiful.
Since the construction of the Second Ondo Ohashi Bridge, I don't pass it much anymore, but I think it's an unusual bridge even in Japan. There are no sidewalks. Road only. I once had a scary experience crossing a mountain by bicycle. The current traffic volume may not be as much as it used to be. The azaleas are beautiful. Golden Week used to be the best time to see them, but perhaps because of global warming, they bloom in April and are almost over by Golden Week. Also, you need to be careful at night because wild boars appear. I never get tired of watching ships passing through Seto. Commonly known as Onpa.
It is famous as a tourist spot because the azaleas bloom in April and May.
it's recommended.
